I'm so happy to read your post and see how much love and care you have to you're father's tallit. When I weave the tallitot I prayer that each tallit I make we'll bring light and happiness to the man that will wear it and I'm glad to see that other people also feel it.<br />Thank you!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11701209096294351192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2791590576912361258.post-42196804850206099792013-01-04T13:26:40.860-05:002013-01-04T13:26:40.860-05:00As a staunch Conservative Jew, a Youth Commissione...As a staunch Conservative Jew, a Youth Commissioner (5 of our USYers attended IC), and a former Nativ parent, kudos to the movement for bringing together another amazing IC. But let's remember that it is the teen-to-teen aspect that is really crucial - sharing and modeling and learning from other committed teens is powerful. A really important thank-you goes to the parents who help their teens prioritize Jewish activities and events with all the competition out there. I was raised on Staten Island and much of the devastation is walking distance from my parents home. I would like to be part of a rebuilding mission in the spring and summer, when the time comes to rebuild. The article states the newspaper asked the USCJ for the paid membership numbers of NYC area Conservative synagogues just like it had received from the URJ. Unfortunately the USCJ for reasons we don't know did not share that information. In my humble opinion the USCJ has no one to blame but itself for this article that does not show the Conservative movement in the NYC area in the best light. Or in sports terms, the team isn't playing well so let's fire the manager! Sometimes we stay in power too long and are no longer as acute, as objective and/or we begin to tolerate mediocrity. That is why every day is new, we are refreshed and renewed, ready to clearly begin the task of finally getting things right.howdihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14055083361117671268noreply@blogger.com
